Indigoid dyes

This classification of dye often occurs the foremost necessary cluster of natural dyes. The colouring material is extracted from  Indigoferatinctoria, which is a herb family. The dye was used pre‐historically in Republic of India, wherever it in all probability  originated. The word springs from “Indican”.

Anthraquinonedyes

A number of the foremost necessary red dyes are like supporting the anthraquinone structure. We get them from plants and insects. We characterised these dyes by smart fastness to light-weight.  They kind complexes with metal salts and therefore the resultant metal‐complex dyes have smart wash fastness.

Alpha‐napthoquinones

The foremost outstanding member of this category of dyes is lawsone. We get it from Lawsoniainermis.

Flavones

Flavoneis colorless chemical compound. Most of the natural yellow colours are hydroxyand methoxy derivatives of flavones and isoflavones. Thereafter, we get it from as dirt on flowers and seeds of assorted  Primulaspecies, in buds of assorted kinds of poplar, in yellow dahlias, in weld (Reseda luteola) and  dyer’s broom (Genistatinctoria).
