A process of stone wash of 60 kg batch of Denim long pant as mentioned below:
First step: -PRETRETMENT/ DESIZING
ü Lot weight(80pes)———— 60 kg denim long pant
ü Add water @L: R=1:9———–540 liters.
ü Machine running
ü Temperature —————— 60⁰c
ü Add Desizing agent @0.6 gm/liter—————– 324gm
ü Add Detergent/antistain @1 gm/liter ———————- 540gm
ü Time ————————-15-25 mts
ü Drop the liquor.
Second step: – HOT WASH
ü Add water @L: R=1:9———–450 liters.
ü Temperature ————— 60⁰c
ü Time ————– 5 mts
Third step: – BLEACHING
ü Add water @ L: R= 1:8 —————– 480 liter.
ü Add bleaching powder @ 10gm/liter ————4800gm.
ü Add soda ash @ 5 gm/liter ———————- 2400gm.
ü Pumice stone @ ½ volumes of garments.
ü Temperature ————————– 60⁰c.
ü Time (depend upon the shade) —————- 12 to 15 mts.
ü Drop the liquor.
ü Rinse twice, each 3 minutes.
Fourth step: – NEUTRAL WASH
ü Add water @ L: R=1:9 —————– 540 liters.
ü Add sodium hyposulphite @ 3 gm/liter ———- 1620gms.
ü Temperature —————— 40⁰c.
ü Time (depend upon the shade) ————– 10 to 12 mts.
ü Drop the liquor.
ü Rinse one.
Fifth step: – SOFT WASH
ü Add water @ L: R= 1:8 —————– 480 liter.
ü Add acetic acid @ 0.6 gm/liter—————– 288gm.
ü Cationic softener @ 1 gm/liter ————— 480 gms.
ü Time ———— 5 mts.
ü Drop the liquor.
ü Unload the garments to trolly.
Sixth step: – HYDROEXTRACTOR MACHINE After unloading the garments from the washing machine then they are sent to hydro extractor machine to remove excess water from the washed garments.
Seventh step: – DRYING MACHINE
ü Load 50 kg garments to gas dryer.
ü Temperature set ——— 75⁰c to 85⁰c.
ü Run about 40 mts.
ü After then run 10 mts in cold dryer.
Eight step: – Delivery After dryer, garments go to quality section for quality checking and good one is delivered garments unit.
Results:
We get following results after stone bleaching;
Decreased GSM.
Softness increase.
Strength becomes weaker.
High shading.
Stone bleaching is not environment friendly. It is harmful for environment as well as workers. After wash before wash.
