Today it is a very much important washing denim garments. Denim which is basically dyed with Vat dyes. it needs to be washed for its better looks. And now a days it is one of the best source of fashion. Here we will discuss about the basic denim wash treatment Process.
There are two main process of denim washing
- Dry Process
- Wet Process.
1. Dry Process : Its the main work of designing a denim garments before wet process. Dry process could be different types like,
- Whisker : Whisker is like the whisker of cat or lion. Its a design of a denim arranged by marking some line in the denim body on the upper legside. It can be designed by making a pattern on a board.
- Scraping : Scraping is like the abrassion of hard paper on the denim body. For scraping, now scraping paper is used. Once we used Sand blasting instead of scraping. But now its totally off,
- Tagging : Taggin is like folding the denim body.
- Busted Seam : Busted seam means, busting the seam area with some fusing paper thus it show like rough effect on the seam line after washing.
- Destry / Grinding : Grinding means destroy the fabric with the help of rock roller. Its generally done in side areas like pocket, footer etc.
- Blow Out : Blow out means put out some yarn by grinding or Destroy
- PP Spray or Spong : PP means Potassium Permanganet. Its a part of dry process also.
- 3D : 3D is done with Machine or Iron Press.
2. Wet Process : Denim wet process requires different types of wash treatment like….
- Desizing : Amaylase is used for this treatment. And temperature is maintained as usual like 50-65 degree centigrade.
- Enzyme : It is also a desizing method. But here Cellulase is used instead of Amaylase. It is done for the denim to be as worn look. Different enzymes are required like Neutral enzyme, acid enzymes Biopolishing enzymes etc.
- Enzyme Stone : Stone is used with the enzyme treatment thus it works better and quickly
- Bleaching : Different types of bleaching action takes place in denim treatment. Peroxide bleach, Hypochloride bleaching, Potassium permanganet bleaching, Foam Bleaching, Towel Bleaching etc. Also Ozone bleaching is done.
- Neutralizing : After Potassium Permanganet Spray or Bleach and also after Different bleaching action, the Neutralizing action takes place.
- Dyeing or Tinting : For make the denim different looks it is done. Slightly dyeing is called the tinting.
- Softening : At the last step basically softening is done with the help of softener
